Douglas Sabo

Douglas Sabo is a recognized global leader in corporate sustainability, ESG and sustainable commerce. From 2008-2024, Sabo served as a corporate sustainability and responsibility executive at Visa Inc., the global payments leader, including as the company’s inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer. In his role, Sabo led Visa’s ESG strategy, framework, reporting and stakeholder engagement, driving the company to regular recognition as a top industry leader for ESG performance. Sabo also led the company’s environmental sustainability, human rights and responsible business initiatives, including Visa’s initiatives in the company’s operations as well as in empowering sustainable living and commerce. His work also included helping create the Travalyst, Brands for Good and Healthy & Sustainable Living industry initiatives as well as serving as the inaugural President of the Visa Foundation. From 2001-2008, Sabo served in similar roles for McAfee, the cyber-security technology company.

Sabo currently serves as a member of the Sustainable Brands Advisory Board and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Sustainable Tourism. Sabo also has been a member of the NYSE Sustainability Advisory Council, Centre for Sport and Human Rights Advisory Council and the Sustainable Finance Working Group of the Institute for International Finance. He also is a frequent speaker on a variety of ESG, corporate responsibility and sustainability topics. Sabo’s sustainability leadership recognition includes being named to the Top 100 CSOs, ESG 50 and Top 100 Corporate Responsibility Influence Leaders lists. 

Sabo currently is the Founder of GreenLivingDoug LLC, curator of the #SustainableLife blog (www.greenlivingdoug.com) and YouTube channel (@GreenLivingDoug) and contributor to several sustainable living coalitions and initiatives. Sabo also serves as an Advisor to Cloverly and a member of the Sustainability Advisory Board of Persefoni.

She is a Chair and Member of multiple Boards in Singapore, Australia, and Abu Dhabi. Previously, Jane was Chair of the Executive Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Chairman of the New Zealand Securities Commission.

Since 2022, Kerstin Lopatta has served as Vice Chair of the Sustainability Reporting Board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and Special Liaison to the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). While at EFRAG, Professor Lopatta has been responsible for the first set of European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Tokutaro Nakai has held prominent roles in Japan's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Environment, contributing to budget planning, environmental policy, and public relations. His career highlights include serving as Chief of the Budget Bureau, Director General for Environmental Policy, and Deputy Minister of Environment. After retiring in 2022, he now advises private companies, focusing on decarbonization efforts.

Allison Herren Lee

Former SEC Acting Chair & Sustainability Advisory Board Member

Allison Herren Lee was appointed by President Donald Trump to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. She was sworn into office on July 8, 2019 and served as Acting Chair of the Commission in 2021. With more than two decades of experience in securities law, Commissioner Lee has held various roles at the SEC, taught financial regulation and corporate law internationally, and served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. She has also been involved with the American Bar Association and a USAID project in Armenia. Before her government service, Lee was a partner at Sherman & Howard LLC and earned her Business degree from the University of Colorado and JD from the University of Denver College of Law.
